Shaky Summit -IUGO’s Newest Release

Shaky Summit, 4.99, is a great 3D game. It’s graphics are of the best.

So there is 2 player within one device, I haven’t tried this yet, but it probably works. So in the game theres 4 characters. Three are automatically unlocked, and the other you have to unlock. So throughout the game you try to get to the top of the hill as quickly as possible, trying to beat your opponent. You shake to put rocks and such in the way of your opponent, or you can tap the screen.

Yes the objective seems dumb, but it is really fun and invigorating. Heres me winning and me picking my person:

Also, theres like 30 levels in all, but they get harder and harder.

Pros and Cons

Pros
-Great idea of a game
-Great Graphics
Cons
-Kind of dry(what you have to do)
Overall it’s a 7 out of ten

IUGO Games to Come

IUGO has recently emailed me and let me know that they plan to release TBD(Toy Bot Diaries) 2 later this fall, TBD 3 near Christmas, and revolt(my personal favorite upcoming game) early next year. I will review all of these apps when they come out. Also, they are planning on releasing a mini-game later this fall, it’s currently in production.

Comment on what app you want them to work on the most and I’ll email them the results.

Toy Bot diaries is a super addicting fun game. At the moment it is 3.99, but is definitely worth it.

This great app, created by IUGO Mobile Entertainment Inc., has many different levels, I haven’t beaten it yet. What the objective of the game is to get to the end of the level, it’s a scrolling game(or whatever you call it) alike Mario. You are a like character, a toy bot. You can shoot out electric beams, that are magnetic. What you do is touch some thing metal, and the beam goes out, you swing by moving the device, oh yeah and you move left or right by turning the device left or right, respectively. Also, if you touch the lil’ guy,he gets magnetic shoes, and you can then move metal things by standing on something metal, turning on the magnetic shoes, and then shooting the beam out, bringing the metal thing with you. Overall, Toy Bot is definite need for any app collection.

PocketGuitar

[Update] An update has recently been released and has made this app even better. Now you can scroll to what fret you want, have the music play in the background, quickly turn on and off distortion, and playing is smoother than ever.

PocketGuitar[99 cents], the number one paid app by Shinya Kasatani is a stellar guitar simulator. You can control how big the frets are, how far apart the strings are, and how much space there is to strum.

Also you can add effects, distortion chorus and delay. You can pick pick what type of guitar you want to use, have an accelerometer effect, whammy bar, pluck autiomatically when you press the frets, have it be left handed, and have alternate tunings.

iProcrastinate

[Update] I get to beta test a new version with supposed syncing =]. I’ll report back with comments.

iProcrastinate [App Store], developed by Craig Otis is a great task manager. It has the best interface of any task manager I’ve used. A new update is about to come out that will include flags on the app icon to let you know how many tasks are currently going to be due. Also, the update will add email support, which is a great feature to have!

Some great features, as shown, are that you can create steps for a task, add members to a task, or add smart groups. A smart group is a group that automatically detects which tasks are due for a certain amount of time, due tomorrow, today, next week, etc.

Overall
Great organizer (It’s certainly organizing me!), and being FREE, I can hardly complain about it’s features. The feature-set is awesome – and it looks quite good too!

App Store: iProcrastinate
