Caster: 3rd person Shooter

Caster is a premier 3rd person shooter game that once again proves that the iPhone can be a real gaming system. The basis of the game is that you are a recruit that is to fight against flanx, the enemy. You have many missions to complete, and a total of 6 weapons. The graphics are absolutely mesmerizing, and the gameplay is a lot of fun. Your first mission is the tutorial. I suggest going into the options, and changing the camera speed to be 3, or 4, it makes gameplay better. You can upgrade weapons, or abilities, such as dashing or super jumping. I feel that this game will be included in the games, Superball, Trism, G-Map, Beejive and Weather Bug, and will stay on my phone forever. There are 3 difficulties, which really range in difficulty. There difference in casual and normal is a hell of a lot! I still can’t beat normal =]. I have beaten casual though.
I suggest this app for anyone out there. It is definitely worth a try. It is a game that you could play for a few minutes, yet also you could play it for an hour or so, which I have done =]. One good thing I haven’t said yet is that how there isn’t any accelerometer control, just multi touch control. Go out and get it! At this link,

iGuerrila
iGuerrila is a shoot em up game that’s based in Africa. You are fighting enemies who don’t care who you are and only want to kill you. It is a tap to shoot game, but you have to move where your aiming around, and then tap to shoot. There are headshots, which are fatal, and then there are body shots, which takes a couple shots to kill the person. The enemies duck out of the way, and can be very aggervating at times. There are different levels of difficulty, easy etc. There are many different missions and two different modes. One is a story mode, and the other is just survival. It is a nice game to pick up and play a little bit at a time. Its much more addicting than i expected, and I will keep it on my phone for a little while. I haven’t beaten the easy mode yet, but hopefully I will.
I suggest getting this if you like tap to shoot games. It adds more elements than other tap to shooters out there. It is very well developed and absolutely no bugs!

SimplyTweet – The Updated Review
Before I start my review, here is a brief summary of the review I gave SimplyTweet back on March 5th, 2009.
SimplyTweet is for you if you are new to Twitter, and are just starting to pick up on how to use it and adjusting to yet another social network. The non-complex UI will make it a great app for all new Twitter users with iPhones and iPod Touches. HOWEVER, I do think that the $3.99 price tag might be a bit high for the current feature set. Once more is added to SimplyTweet, $3.99 will be more appropriate. For now, $0.99 or $1.99 seems more appropriate to me. There are lots more things this app could include that would make it even better. (better icon, interface redesign that improves appearance, but maintains simplicity). I really hope this app continues to be actively developed–there is a lot of potential for SimplyTweet.
Its been just two months since that review, and there have been more changed and improvements to SimplyTweet than I had ever expected. I’m going to run through the top 10 changes to SimplyTweet.
First, the interface has been touched up. It looks much better than it did in the earlier versions.
Second, SimplyTweet now supports multiple accounts. This is a big thing for many users (though not for me). Accounts are easily managed under the “More” tab.
Third, more ways of browsing twitter are now available. One thing I really like about twitter is being able to see the trends (what everyone is twittering about). SimplyTweet now has a tab called “Trends” which shows the top 10 tweeted items.
Fourth, you can create custom views. Say you’re whole family actively uses twitter. You can create a custom view that will only show the family members you want. All you have to do is go to that persons profile page in SimplyTweet, and select “Add to Saved View”.
Fifth, when composing a tweet, there is now an “@” button. Hitting this will show all of your twitter friends. Selecting one will insert their username into the tweet. This is easier than memorizing your friends usernames.
Sixth, SimplyTweet now supports photos. This is just great. There isn’t much to say about it, but its great! Did I mention its amazing and great?
Seventh, you can now retweet your tweets, save notes about your friends accounts, and save articles to InstaPaper.
Eighth, there is a built in Web Browser. I actually can’t remember if the first version had this or not, but either way, its worth mentioning because it works very well.
Ninth, you can now save a bookmarklet in Mobile Safari that, when selecting it, will launch SimplyTweet and take the URL of your current page and begin composing a tweet with that URL inserted into it.
And the Tenth great new feature is actually not a new feature. Its better…
I believe that SimplyTweet is DEFINITELY now worth the $3.99 price tag. In fact, I would say its a steal at the price.
Wether your new to Twitter, or are twittering about every action you take throughout your day, you will find that SimplyTweet has all the features you could want and need, for a great price, and in an easy to use package.
I now give SimplyTweet a solid 5 stars. The developer of SimplyTweet does a great job of updating on a very regular basis with new features and bug fixes.
SimplyTweet is available in the App Store for $3.99 from MotionObj. [iTunes Link]

I got this game quite a while ago, and haven’t been sure what I think about it. However, I have finally come to a conclusion about this app. Its OK.
OK you say? Thats it?
Well, don’t get me wrong. Its a good game, and it is fun. But I have trouble playing it for long periods of time. I just get bored…and then I hit the home button. Its good to play for just a few minutes at a time. If you play it too much, you’ll be done with the entire game in minutes.
I believe that this game has lots of potential. Currently, it doesn’t have all that many levels. I believe that if the developer adds more levels and trucks that can be upgraded/customized, this game would be playable for longer periods of time. In its current condition, I beat the game easily in just a couple days. (keep in mind I only played a few minutes a time)
The game involves driving monster trucks through and over various objects. Instead of having a view from behind or inside the truck, you have a side view. I wasn’t sure I would like this at first, but it isn’t actually that bad–I kind of like it. The truck is controlled by the accelerometer and a brake/gas pedal. Tilt right to lean the truck forward, left to lean backward. Hit the gas to drive forward, brake to stop (duh!). There is also a cruise control option, which I found quite handy.
The regular price for Monster Trucks Nitro is $1.99. I would not recommend it for that price, unless the developer adds more features to the game. BUT, the game is currently on sale for $0.99. I actually do think that for $0.99, it is worth it.
I give this app 3.5 stars. Its a good start, but the developer needs more, especially if they go back to the $1.99 price point.
